How much does the design of a tracheostomy tube impact the weaning of our patients? Join us for a webinar as we explore the results of a recent quality improvement project led by Katie Partridge (Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Critical Care and Respiratory, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust). During the session we will uncover the current design specifications of tracheostomy tubes and discuss the impact of optimal inner to outer diameter ratios on the weaning of patients with a tracheostomy. Katie will present her findings on the usage of the Tracoe Twist Plus tube, how this impacted patient weaning times and potential financial benefits.
